We’re excited to share that Ancoura’s board renewal project – A Time of Transformation and Innovation is funded by the Government of Canada under the Community Services Recovery Fund.
This project will address the needs of Ancoura’s Board which has struggled with transitioning from a founding, operational Board to a 2nd/3rd generation, governing Board–a complex transition compounded by the drastic impact and stresses of COVID-19. This project focuses on the renewal of systems, policies, recruitment, training, development and retention of Board members and Executive Director, focusing on governance, diversity, learning, communication, and healthy work environment. A renewed Board invested in principles of EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) and committed to ongoing learning, will be equipped with renewed energy, efficiency, flexibility and resilience.
We gratefully acknowledge this support from the Government of Canada.
The Community Services Recovery Fund responded to what community service organizations, including charities, non-profits and Indigenous governing bodies, needed and supports them as they adapt to the long-term.
The Government of Canada delivered the Community Services Recovery Fund through three National Funders – Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada, and United Way Centraide Canada. The National Funders distributed funding to eligible community service organizations, including charities, non-profits, and Indigenous governing bodies, providing services in communities across Canada.
